Welcome to Frälsegården!

We, that is Daniela and Carl-Johan, have been leasing this farm, which is located just outside the small town of Västrum in the municipality of Västervik, since April 2021. Daniela is originally from Germany and previously worked in the fields of education and biodynamic agriculture, while Carl-Johan comes from Sweden and is now retired after a long and varied professional life.

But this retirement is not so quiet at all, because on our farm we look after our sheep, chickens, ducks and cats together. We also grow lots of vegetables. Even though we don't have an organic label, we work according to the guidelines for organic and biodynamic cultivation. Our aim is to build up a circular economy in which we also produce all our own animal feed.

In our small farm shop we sell frozen lamb meat, lamb sausages, eggs, wool, lamb skins and seasonal vegetables, depending on availability. You can pay cash or via the Swish app. You can look up how to find us here.

We are also WWOOF hosts and regularly welcome interested people who want to spend a few weeks in the countryside and help us with the various tasks on the farm. You can find out more about WWOOF here.
